Slow Flow

An inviting class that builds energy and endurance slowly, using breath and movement to create space in the body and mind. Modifications are taught and adjustments are provided. Appropriate for beginners and for those students who desire a slower paced yoga practice. Classes are not heated.

Jordan is a Toledo native, having lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and Cincinnati, Ohio where she completed her RYT 200 training at Shine Yoga Center. She is happy to have a background in alignment yoga weaved with power and flow. Jordan’s teaching is an overflow from her life and she loves sharing the practice of yoga with others. Jordan first encountered yoga at BGSU in 2010 and was instantly hooked.

Off the mat, she is a middle school math teacher, a wife, and a dog mom of two! Jordan’s mission as a yoga teacher is to create space for all people to connect to their center by safely exploring asanas in order to bring harmony to all areas of life.

“In my classes, you can expect to connect with your breath, provide healing to your body with a focus on alignment, and spend time working on specific poses in a 'workshop' style portion of class. I offer many modifications and encourage you to make your practice your own!”

Sharon Kripke has the Yoga Alliance's highest teaching designation, E-RYT 500, and certifications in Yoga for Golfers and Prenatal Yoga. She has practiced yoga for 25 years, studying Hatha Yoga, under the nurturing guidance of Swami Bhavajananda. Through his inspiration and many years of practice, Sharon began the intensive Teacher Training Study Certification Course encompassing all classical yoga techniques with her Swami and facilitated by Goswami Kryanands from the temple of Kriya yoga. She received her Hatha Yoga Teacher's Certificate in 2008. Sharon opened Yoga Journey in 2009. She treasures sharing yoga with her students and spends extra time explaining poses to ensure proper alignment and good habits for a strong, lifelong practice Her goals are to continue her personal practice, study new and changing techniques, and teach others the wonderful world of yoga.

David is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer. He has been training individuals and athletes of all ages in the area for the last 7 years. David has a background in Martial Arts and over 2 decades worth of experience playing, training, and coaching multiple sports at different levels. David was introduced to yoga by Sharon Lichtcsien, his aunt, and a yoga teacher from Sandusky, OH. Since his introduction David has studied a variety of styles and has multiple certifications and countless hours of continued education and training from workshops, and from his yoga teachers and mentors. His classes involve dynamic flowing sequences with an attention to proper alignment and core strength. He has trained and worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, so his classes are adaptable to all levels of yoga practice.

David is also one the founders of the Neuroflex Juice Co., a raw/ cold-pressed juice company with locations in Perrysburg and Ottawa Hills. Outside of Toledo Yoga he can be found teaching at the Toledo Club and at many local businesses as a part of a corporate wellness offering through Neuroflex Health and Wellness. When he's not teaching or practicing yoga David enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son's basketball/baseball teams, traveling, building websites/digital media, and spending time outdoors.
