Toddler Yoga

This unique class combines yoga and play to get back in shape while strengthening the bond between you and your infant. Jen recently moved to Toledo in 2012. She has been practicing yoga since 2000. She received her RYT 200 training through Marni Task who incorporates a Jivamukti Yoga and Anusura blend. She is grateful to have trained with Marni and for continual inspiration from the amazing Tammy Lyons of Innerbliss Yoga Studio in Cleveland. She is beyond excited to continue her yoga education as she works towards her 500hr certification. Jen is also a kids certified yoga teacher and teachers a weekly toddler class which brings so much joy and laughter into the studio. Jen also enjoys traveling the globe, running, tennis, and living a healthy lifestyle. She holds BS in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University and also runs a small business called Mind Over Lather (check out her vegan soaps and top selling mat spray in our boutique). Her biggest joy is her family - twins born in 2013 and her wonderful husband. Jen's teaching style is authentic, thoughtful and fun. She guides students into cultivating their own strength and inner peace and sets it all to some great playlists

Melany completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with It’s Yoga International in 2014. Since then, she has been working on achieving her 500 hour certification. Melany is also trained in kids yoga and earned an AA degree in early childhood education. Melany is the director of Kids Yoga Toledo and combined her training in yoga and college education to lead kids yoga teacher trainings. She has been leading a variety of classes at Toledo Yoga since it opened in 2014 including Rocket ®, ashtanga yoga, yoga flow, and yoga for kids.

Melany loves guiding all levels of practitioners together. Her classes focus on mindful breath and movement to create a balanced, strong, and graceful state of being. Some of her classes include handstands and some include guided yoga nidra (yogic sleep). She will go with the flow in relation to the energy of the room for that day. Her classes are relaxed and she encourages everyone to come as they are, inspire, and be inspired by the amazing Toledo Yoga community.

"In my class you can expect to receive whatever it is you wish for. Come in and rest in child's pose for an hour or bust out a handstand in a sun salutation. I'll encourage you to breathe and discover your inner wisdom as I guide you through a vinyasa flow. Sometimes I tell funny jokes. At least I think I'm funny."
